The STEPS Facilitator Programme equips organisations to be trained in the tools of STEPS, so that it can confidently share these tools and the STEPS process within their own network.
This programme takes Facilitators through the 12-step course for themselves, and at the same time, teaches them the underlying principles and how to best facilitate the STEPS process with participants. At the end of the 12 weeks, facilitators will be equipped with knowledge of the 12-steps, their own experience of going through the steps, as well as ongoing access to all the resources, support and coaching available within the STEPS Facilitator Network.

The Course programme
This online programme includes:
- Course book and lifetime Digital App pass for each participant
- Tailored Online STEPS Course and Facilitator Training Programme
- Assigned STEPS Coach for individual support when rolling it out within your own organisation
- Free course materials (12 x Course Books and 12 x lifetime Digital App passes) for use in your own organisation
- Access to all Resources/materials and ongoing support from the STEPS Facilitator Network
Course dates
The Introduction Session will be held online on Tuesday 21st January 2025 1-2pm SAST. The Course will start on Tuesday 28th January 1-2pm SAST and run consecutively for 11 weeks. Step 5 will be a 2hr session (25th February) and Step 6/7 is a 90 minute workshop. The Course will finish before Easter.

Steps 6-9: Wednesday 19th March 2025 12-1pm SAST
Steps 10-12: Wednesday 9th April 2025 12-1pm SAST
Requirements and Cost
There are a few requirements for those applying for the STEPS Facilitator Programme:
- A willingness to go through the process for themselves: One of the cornerstones of the STEPS programme is that facilitators can only lead by having gone through the process for themselves, and so an openness to experience the course for oneself is vital for anyone wishing to use this more broadly in their context.
- Participation for at least 75% of the Course Programme: Participants on the programme must be able to make at least 75% of the Course Programme to achieve certification. If Participants have to miss a week, we do request a call with their facilitator to share reflections on the missed step.
Upon completion of this programme you will be certified as a STEPS Facilitator with access to the STEPS network of Facilitators and the support/resources that entails. The only ongoing cost that an organisation may have when running STEPS is the cost of the course books (R250 per book) or Digital App passes (R250 subscription (R100 after first year). Access to all other resources and support are free.
Cost: The value of this Facilitator Programme is £700 (R16,000) although for those applying via E-Squared Investments, this has been covered on your behalf for the 2025 programme.
