My name is Elizabeth, and I'm working on my constant focus on my weight.
I decided to do STEPS because I had heard so many great testimonies about how it had really helped people overcome various behaviour patterns they’d been struggling with.

I wasn’t exactly sure what I would work on beforehand, but after some prompts from God, I decided to tackle my overriding thought patterns regarding my weight.
I wasn’t sure how the Lord would help me with this problem. I’d struggled with it my whole life and so it almost felt like a very ‘normal’ struggle, and just something I lived with. I thought it was a very superficial issue and didn’t think God would be particularly interested in helping me with it for some reason.
Every week I read the chapter, watched the video and turned up for reflections. And every week I could not see how God would use the step to help me. It’s when I look back on the journey that I can now see how far I’ve come, where God met me and how he kept gently revealing surrounding issues that I needed to work on, to set me free from my struggle.
I am still taking one day at a time, one step at a time, but now with a real knowing in my heart that God cares about every area of my life and he will walk me through it faithfully.
